SIXiDES, Formica Singapore partner to recognise outstanding designers

SIXiDES (pronounced as “Six Sides”), a renovation technology platform and Formica Singapore, a household brand specialising in High Pressure Laminates (HPL) and decorative surfaces had just announced their partnership in recognising notable Interior Designers in Singapore to receive the Designer of the Month (DOTM) Awards.

This exercise began in 2022 by SIXiDES and will continue into 2023 with the involvement and endorsement by Formica Singapore. This campaign makes Formica Singapore and SIXiDES the first joint party to honour deserving interior design practitioners on a monthly basis.

With Formica’s 110 years of heritage within the interior design industry and SIXiDES innovative way of building interior design narratives, both brands hope that the DOTM awards will be well received and valued by aspiring and inspirational “Design Heroes” in Singapore’s interior design industry.

In Astley’s (Founder and CEO of SIXiDES) words, “these Interior Design practitioners, who have been chosen to receive the SIXiDES x FORMICA’s DOTM monthly Awards will be seen as Design Heroes. They will represent the rigor, consistency and pursuit in excellence needed in the interior design scene, changing lives through their passionate endeavour.

Designers selected to receive the accolade will each get a plaque, write-up, a video showcase of their work, and exposure in the SIXiDES’ directory consisting of professional design firms, courtesy of SIXiDES and Formica Singapore.

The partnership was officiated at a micro event held last Friday in Formica Singapore’s Showroom in Armenian Street, where both Astley Ng, CEO of SIXiDES and Nicholas Tay, Deputy Sales General Manager of Formica Singapore, signed an MOU witnessed by past recipients of DOTM 2022 and other interior designers.

Established in 2021, SIXiDES is a reno-tech platform that puts the needs of homeowners first when it comes to renovations. The platform is powered by proprietary technologies and systems such as eQuote and Verified ID. Presently focused on design and renovation of high-density buildings, SIXiDES has plans to expand their services to include private apartments and landed properties all while continuing to drive industry innovation and development.
